I recently had a version of this salad at a restaurant in my neighborhood. My response was, naturally, to say “Pshhh, I can make that.” So here it is, minus one of the key ingredients: prosciutto.
Since my life is full of various pork-avoiders, I made this version without it.

- Mixed greens
- Dried cherries
- Walnuts, toasted
- Gorgonzola, crumbled
- Prosciutto (optional)
- Olive oil
- Balsamic vinegar
- Lemon juice
- Salt and pepper
- I mean… do we really need to go over this?
- Toss lettuce with the balsamic, olive oil, and some lemon juice
- Sprinkle on the prosciutto if using, the toasted walnuts, cherries, and cheese
- Season with S&P
- Eat up.
